Boston is go...

We're extending our current US trip by a few days in order to attend an Office 2010 event in New York, leaving us with a weekend to fill...

So we're coming to Boston!

Flying in on the 23rd, and taking the train out on the 25th...

Recommendations for places to stay, things to see and do, gratefully received...

Don't know what your budget is, but this hotel is a bit over a mile from our house and an easy bus ride to the Orange Line. :)

If you'll have a car at your disposal, staying in Woburn is rather a lot cheaper. My parents like the Marriott.

Heh, I'm mainly responsible for this page these days:

(among others)

The MIT Museum is interesting for those of a geeky inclination

I also recommend the Duck Tour to everyone

When & where are you in NYC? Want to go do food and drink? I have a 50% working mouth these days.

There are many good places to eat, both hole-in-the-walls and fancy, and I'll be happy to advise on those closer to the date depending on type of cuisine.

I would recommend going to Davis Square Somerville, aka The Hub Of The Universe, and getting a ticket to a show in the Somerville Theatre (you'll be a week too early to see the show I'll be in, alas), and then going to see the Museum of Bad Art in the basement - you can only get in with a ticket to a movie or other event.

If you'd like a homecooked meal I humbly offer to cook it for you. Just give me some idea of what you'd be interested in for menu.
