Sometimes it's well worth delving down the narrow corridor of the Notting Hill Book and Comic Exchange's SF and Fantasy section, even if you can only just sidle down behind the mis-shelved and misfiled books.. On my way back from a meeting yesterday I found one of those rare finds that lights the avid collectors heart. Not only a collectable book, but ridiculously cheap too...

Yesterday's find was a good one - the UK proof of Poppy Z. Brite's Lost Souls for only a quid. I've seen it on eBay in the past for really quite silly (in the opposite direction) prices, so I was pleasantly surprised. I was even more surprised when the notoriously hard to remove Notting Hill price sticker came off with no damage to the book.

Go me.

(For anyone in the area, it looks like someone has dumped off a pile of review copies and there a lot of good reads at very good prices.)

I live around the corner, will need to check it out. I usually find that they have a depressingly good sense of the value of things...
