Blog without leaving the browser

A recent addition to my list of Firefox extensions, is Performancing for Firefox, a blogging tool that fits neatly in the browser, and works well with both Blogger and LJ (I've yet to try it on my Wordpress Blog or with MSN Spaces - and don't have a TypePad account to try it out there). It even handles LJ communities well.

Performancing is a neat tool that gives you WYSIWYG HTML editing and a decent entry preview, along with tools for adding Technorati tags to your pages (and adds a Blog This context menu item to Firefox). You can even save content locally for future use as Notes. Just click the status bar icon to open the blog editor, and start typing.

I've been using it for a little while already - and have grown rather fond of it.

That's a great site that is. Apparently "What it does" and "What it looks like" are not things they want to talk about :)

Verbing nouns is not a appropriate tool for leveraging vocabulary spaces in an ongoing fashion.

Obviously you got this to work, but I can't. Did you have to do anything to tweak it? I'm finding that I click "Publish" and it processes for a few moments and then stops, with no error message or anything. But nothing arrives on my journal.

No, no tweaks needed here.

The only service I'm trouble with is Wordpress, and that's because I've forgotten my sitename and password...

Bloody email address is registered, and I can't find a help page anywhere.

Oh well, thanks anyway. I tried changing my password to one that had numbers in it, because Deepest Sender had been reporting that the server was complaining about that; so I thought maybe Performancing was getting the same server message, and wasn't able to deal with it. But it made no difference, And now I can't change my password back, which is annoying.
