NO2ID pledge reaches 10K signatures...

Mail just in my mailbox:
Congratulations!

We are pleased to tell you that the pledge you signed up to has been a success.

The pledge, created by Phil Booth, reads: 'I will refuse to register for an ID card and will donate £10 to a legal defence fund but only if 10000 other people will also make this same pledge.' The 10001st person has signed the pledge, just moments ago.
Now to see if the government will listen.

Keep signing! The more who sign, the louder the collective voice!

Of course they won't listen - that's what the legal fund is for!

10,000 people really isn't enough to sway public opinion on something like this. Now if you can get 100,000.....

well, if everyone who signed it can get another 99 people - or just another 10... it's not enough but it's better than doing nothing. have you signed yet?

Not actually being anti ID card I'd feel a tad hypocritical if I did.
