Republicans can't do WiFi...

Now, this isn't a political blog - but this story was not to be sniffed at...

Apparently the real reason why there isn't any WiFi at the RNC isn't security, or the threat of Democratic crackers. It's an age old problem: the RNC is full of lusers, and the company that was handling technology for the event didn't want to have to cope with the tech support from conventioneers who couldn't read simple log-on instructions...
"If people have trouble with wireless, what's the first thing they say?" said David Shatzkes, whose company is managing the convention's technology operations. "They say, 'There's something wrong with the network.' Those are the words we absolutely do not want to hear."

Was there a link in that? It seemed so at one point - is there something weird in the HTML, or am I imagining things?

Yep. Learn to speak luser:

Luser: "The network is down"
Means: "I changed my password yesterday, I forgot it and I've locked myself out of AD"

Luser: "The network is down"
Means: "I didn't write down or otherwise record the name of the share I need to use and I can't ask my colleague for it again as she will know I'm a moron"

and so on.
