Crossed fingers time

Phase 2 of the SandM.co.uk server migration is about to begin - moving 37GB of data in the shape of files, backups and downloads from the old house file server to the new one, using Microsoft's nifty File Server Migration Wizard.

In my world, that's
(cd "$1"; tar cf - .) | (cd "$2"; tar xvpBf -)
and it's 100% reliable. But of course that relies on having GNU tar and an OS that doesn't crash when you look at it sideways.
