Posy Simmonds on t'Interweb thingie...

The nice people at the Guardian  have an online archive of the Posy Simmonds' weekly Literary Life comics.

Rar!

No apologies for introducing Posy as a time waster. She's been one of my favourite cartoonists for years.

I'm very fond of her Belloc illustrations, especially the nice Folio edition.

Somewhere, sellotaped to the back of an A4 ring binder probably I have her classic spring song, with the student waking up to impending exams. Almsot as evocative as Steve Bell's two-headed sheep.

oh *yes*! Posy Simmonds' 'Gemma Bovary' is one of the best, and most moving comics I've read.

Excellent! I still should go and buy the collection, though.
