Cow farts on Mars

It appears that there's methane in the Martian atmosphere.

Methane isn't stable in the Martian atmosphere, and so needs to be replenished. As no one has found an active volcano or a volcanic hotspot, then it's a possibility that we may be looking at microbe activity...

I was looking at this. One thing that occurs to me is the comment that there is almost certainly life on Mars - in all probability we took some with the Russian probes.

Would 30 years of new Microbes be enough to explain the methane? Probably not, the climate probably isn't all that pleasant for Earth bugs.

Anyway, all interesting stuff - it's going to pee the Mars colonist movement right off.
