Google review of the year: 2003

The 2003 Google Zeitgeist page is up, listing popular queries. As well as global queries, there's a regional breakdown, so you can see what people in the UK were using as search terms...

Lots of neat graphs showing frequency of specific keywords over time, too.

There seems far too little... er, material of a dubious nature.. either they've doctored the results or far too many teenyboppers are using Google these days

The latter is my guess. Google is just too prevelant now, and too generic.

There's also the thought that these days the more dubious queries probably have to be quite specifc to get past the millions of generic porn sites....

I'm sure it's filtered, although Paris Hilton is listed in there

(and boy do I wish paris hilton hadnt filmed herself shagging in 2003, I'm really sick of the amount of spam I get)

Russell came in whilst I was looking at it and I told him what I was doing and he says, "Oh, librarian porn". Okay, yeah, I like reading search results. *chortle*
