Rating Bladerunner Soundtrack Bootlegs

Bladerunner is still, for me, the best SF film ever made. I never understood why it took so many years for Vangelis' atmospheric soundtrack to be released, despite the many bootlegs. Even with the release, there's still a flourishing trade in alternative soundtracks, some using dialogue, others adding versions from different cuts of the film - even from the game. It's difficult to rate the many different versions of the soundtrack, and to work out whether one's worth a listen when you find it on a Usenet group....

So I was pleased to find this site that reviews the best versions, including my current favourite, the wonderful Esper Edition.

I think the soundtrack is incredible too, and yes, it's still my favorite sci-fi movie. I didn't know that they did a bunch of bootlegs, however...

I remember the first commercial soundtrack for Blade Runner I found -- it was this godawful rendition of Vangelis done with cheezy brazz. Hateful. Was very happy when they finally released a commercial version of the soundtrack with the original music, but would love to get the Esper addition. Is there any way I can coax you to make me a copy, send me the mp3s, or point me in the right direction to buy one?

I'm in SF in a couple of weeks - can probably arrange something around that.

That would be great. Been to San Francisco much before? I can probably show you a good restaurant or play tour guide for an afternoon, if you're interested.

Oh yes, quite a few times now - not sure how much time I'm going to have. Will probably steal some time with ocean_song tho'...
