The saviour of the Euro...

...is apparently badly animated Flash web comics, involving ancient gods, terrible allegory, and cute wolves. Oh, and bad guys that step right out of 1960's Batman...

"Everyone will want to identify with the Captain EURO brand. It brings emotion to the concept of a united Europe, adding value to products and services." or so says Captain Euro's creator, the Twelve Stars brand agency.

Hmm. Almost enough to turn a europhile like me into a eurosceptic.

Argh! That's bad. Superhero? Looks more like a delivery truck driver!

Great phallic maps of Sweden, Euroman ! Those are truly dire. It's like French rockabilly music - tries so hard to be American, but just doesn't get it.

What's with all the spiders in web comics these days ? For one moment there I thought it was going to transform into a much better comic. "Mein gott (for I am a voluptuous blue-eyed blonde Aryan comicbook stereotype) - all these spiders. The Euro is an American surveillance plot to spy on us all !"

Although "A Viking ship made of steel" might be somewhat inspirational, if I get any shed time with the welder 8-)

Steel Viking ship on wheels? That'd be good.. unless you have a nearby lake anyway.

The Vikings did it better anyway, the ship used in Ragnarok would be constructed out of discarded nail clippings, apparently and float in a river of blood and semen.

oh that's bad, and so slow as to enspire tedium at the third frame in. The 404 errors didnt help either.

Batman was rarely /that/ bad.

I'd rather have Captain Planet and the Planeteers than Captain Euro, and Captain Planet was *dire*.

Euroseptic.

Could be worse, I suppose. What would they have come up with if we'd stuck with referring to EMU?

Well, that's the designs sorted then: windmill for the building on the notes (or would that be just too Dutch?), flightless bird for the coins.
