Amusing moments in online banking

Yes, I know that's an oxymoron if there ever was one...

After recently switching to Mozilla Firebird as my default browser, today I had to phone up my bank and get my login details sorted so I could use the online banking service. They're good and secure, and make sure you can't move accounts between PCs and browsers without reauthenticating.

Once I'd sorted out my authentication codes and was in and moving the money I needed to pay the last cheque to the builders, the chap at the other end of the phone asked what I was using. So we had a little chat about browsers, and alternatives to IE. He was thinking of trying Opera, so I gave him a little overview of Firebird - he'd been keeping away from Mozilla browsers after a bad experience with Netscape bloatware.

Could be another convert...

The conversion is complete!

The final bits and pieces of filling and sorting were done today. And so we wrote the Daves the last cheque.

Now just the painting, the cleaning and the furnishing, and the house defragging...
