Waterloo Sunset Colours

The sky caught fire the other night, burning orange and purples as the setting sun reflected off a passing rainstorm...

Luckily I was in the study, armed with a loaded digicam.

Oh yes, we saw that, coming back from the AnonCl meeting (good job we left early or we'd have missed it). It was really amazing, and actually a touch scary.

With views like that, we are all coming to live at your house.

Stunning.

the pictures couldn't quite capture the chestnut honey quality of the light painting stripes through the window and onto the chimneys; the heavy clouds seemed to press the light down and concentrate it to a liquid the way they do before an August thunderstom but there was barely a spit of rain this time. I sit facing the window and I often look up at sunset and tell Simon to look at the pretty pink but this was like a fire leaving bruises in the sky

Isn't it wonderful that we can share these things so well these days? Not nearly perfectly, but still mighty well.

Many thanks for 5,000 words! :-)
