I can't see what's wrong with it myself. Yes, I prefer the normal non-tinned version, as I do with peaches, rice pudding, bratwurst and the rest, but if it enables me to keep food safe and ready for months, I'll (also) have the tinned version please.

WHS. The ingredients are the same. I remember tinned haggis in Scotland many years ago and people there (well, size of sample, 1, but Scots) not having a problem with it.

Oh dearie me.

I blame the common plastic-skin haggis for starting the rot, myself.

We saw that in our local supermarket (Dunedin, New Zealand) the weekend before last, and were remarking on its innate wrongness to each other.

I suspect that's really the only way to do it.

We used to get tinned haggis in the canteen at Jewel and Esk (Leith Nautical) College. We know it was canned because one of the guys got some swarf from the edge of the tin in his helping one time. Tasted OK if you added enough sauce.

I wonder if it's worse than tinned laksa, which I do not recommend at all.

and does the placement imply a descending scale from
-tinned cassoulet: absolutely fine and rather a good way to get it
-tinned haggis: oh, if you must, really, we'd rather have it frozen, don't you know a good butcher?
-tinned chicken: dear, god, no (and what is the other 23%?)

Hah!

And don't even ask what is off to the left of that "Premium 77% meat" chicken...
