These aren't ordinary noses, they're huge flexible probosci, that inflate to add resonance the bulls' roaring calls. They roll up and flop around, like a big dog's tongue. You know when a bull is about to bellow, as he raises up his head, and starts to inflate his nose. Then he honks, his hooter hooting across the wide sandy beach.
